Christopher W. Sanzone
    Christopher W. Sanzone

    Mr. Sanzone received his law degree from the Vanderbilt School of Law in 1996, where he was the Authorities Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. He received his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University in 1993. Mr. Sanzone practiced in the Labor and Employment group at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP from 1996 until he co-founded Sanzone & McCarthy, LLP. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the First and Eleventh Circuits.

      Mr. McCarthy received his law degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 1998. He received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Bowdoin College in 1992. Mr. McCarthy practiced in the Labor and Employment group at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP from 1998 until he co-founded Sanzone & McCarthy, LLP. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

      Christine A. Phipps
        Christine A. Phipps

        Ms. Phipps received her law degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 2003, where she was an Editor of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. She received her B.A., with high honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, from Wesleyan University in 1998. Ms. Phipps practiced in the Labor & Employment group at Ropes & Gray, LLP from 2005 to 2007 and in the Labor & Employment group at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP from 2003 until 2005. Ms. Phipps joined Sanzone & McCarthy, LLP in 2007. Ms. Phipps is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Ms. Phipps is an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder after successfully completing the AWI Training Institute for Workplace Investigators program.

        Laurie Drew Hubbard
          Laurie Drew Hubbard

          Ms. Hubbard received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 2001, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 1998. Ms. Hubbard practiced in the Litigation and Labor & Employment departments at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP from 2001–2004. She practiced employment law at Littler Mendelson, PC from 2004–2007. Ms. Hubbard is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeal for the First Circuit. She is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association.

          Michael D. Tauer
            Michael D. Tauer

            Mr. Tauer received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and was awarded the G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar Award, the Paul J. Liacos Scholar Award, the Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar Award, and the Dean’s Award for Contracts. Mr. Tauer received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. After law school, Mr. Tauer had the privilege of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Martha B. Sosman of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Mr. Tauer is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Maryland, Tennessee, District of Columbia, the Western District of Tennessee, the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

              Karen Christy

              Karen has been a pivotal and integral part of our team at Sanzone McCarthy since she joined in 2009. With over thirty years of experience in the legal field, Karen manages the office, handles all client intake and billing matters, and keeps our team well-coordinated. In addition, Karen assists with court filings and performs paralegal work in litigation matters. She previously worked as a legal secretary and manager at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP and as a legal secretary at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
